Spring In The Air, Kevättä Ilmassa

It is always the beautiful scene in movie during spring time, where everything come alive. Today, was my first happy spring day.

My day start with meeting my parents-in-law, Mutsi & Patu (means mum & dad in Finnish local slang) in Ikea. Initial plan was to buy cooking utensils rack for drawer but unfortunately, non of it suite to my kitchen drawer's size. However, I still manage to get S-hooks and container to 'enlighten' my dear kitchen :)

After we had lunch in Hesburger, we proceed to Plantegen, a plants hypermarket (in fact most of the concept stores are very huge in Finland). I shall say that, this is a very lovely place to
browse because they have tans of flowers & plants that cheer
me up. No women will hate flower, i believed. Mutsi seems to be
very happy here, she grabbed quite a lot of plants while Patu has
decided to wait at the corner near to entrance after a tour in here. As for me, I've bought a lovely rose and 2 vases, as well as 'little green house' to plant flower from seeds. For the pass 2 weeks my baby China Aster & Pot Marigold were born and die and only a few is still surviving. That's is why Mutsi came today, to rescue my poor little 'baby'.

I will never give up until I get a blossom house

In fact, I'm not the lousy at all. I managed to grow the Rairuoho grass (Ryegrass in english) for Easter Day celebration (but hubby doens't know exactly when is it, ha!). This is one of the Christian culture in Finland (I don't know about other countries). And no wonder there are many chicken toys selling in supermarket because they use chicken or chicks to decorate around the grass but hubby can't tell the reason why chicken and not Aku Ankan, the Donald Duck that has a significant position here in Finland. But but but seriously, why chicken?

Mutsi is a lovely mum, she is patient and talented. Though she try to explain in Finnish which I don't understand at all, I'm always enjoy to have her around :) Chicken & duck always get along very well (means we speak differently and can't understand each others). Besides, she bought us Narcissus (Narsissi in Fin.) from Plantagen, also brought baby flower that she planted at home, and I love them.(Left) Narcissus (Narsissi), The sign of Spring.

Me & hubby always wanted to have green and flowers in the house. The joining of new members have inspired me to decorate the window corner in living room and kitchen and, not bad...

Living room window corner.
Picture retook on 05/04 and the Narcissus flowers already can't wait to be in the picture.
My hubby bought the Buddha statue months after we've met in July 2006 just because I'm a Buddist.
How sweet :)

Elegant pink ladies hubby chose from Plantagen today.
Too bad didn't check the name of the flower

MY KITCHEN - MIX OF BALI, ENGLISH ROSE & THE RETRO

My kitchen cabinet is the typical Scandinavian design, white in color. I was wondering if the table mat could match the whole look and I always suffer from the total matching concept. From the cabinet, to the lamp to the table and to everything. That's is why until now I can't decide a new lamp for kitchen. I'm not rigid, just because I'm not so good in designing and have to be very careful not to waste the money. But maybe I have to learn to be a bit flexible of the mix & match and, it turn out to be like this..... You judge.

I really love the table mat. We got it from The Jonker street, Melaka Malaysia on Oct 2008

Speechless......

Cushion from Ikea today. To please our eyes and ass

Oh lovely polka...

Love love love ribbon like a little girl. And it takes me many minutes to tie & tie & tie & PERFECTLY SWEET! :>

When I want more than the dots...

At the end of the night, me and hubby both can't help and sing the song 'Green~~~ green! green! green!' Adapted from a song that start with 'dream~~dream! dream! dream!' but we don't know the name.
